ASSISTANT MANAGER – CORPORATE MARKETING

Job Purpose & Purpose
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Marketing Assistant Manager to oversee the Corporate Travel business including meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions travel (MICE) and Wholesale Sub-agents. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and initiatives that build brand awareness, drive revenue growth and enhance client engagement.This person will report to the Senior Manager of Product & Digital Marketing.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy and Execution Management

  • Manage and execute marketing strategies and initiatives to build corporate brand awareness and enhance client engagement and relationship.
  • Proactively identify and drive corporate business opportunities and lead generation through relevant platforms and channels.
  • Develop and activate marketing activities for Corporate Travel, MICE and Wholesales portfolios.
  • Define and refine brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions for different target segments, channels and partners.
  • Drive the expansion of corporate brand communications, ensuring consistency across digital, PR, content, events and internal communications.
  • Implement marketing initiatives in the marketplace and continuously monitor, optimise and report performance against measurable KPIs and business objectives.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities, recommend solutions, and implement improvements to strengthen marketing support for Corporate, MICE and Wholesale business growth .
  • Provide Corporate content direction, concept and manage communication development within the target timeline.

Budget and Financial Management

  • Own and manage the Corporate Marketing and wholesales’ marketing budget, including planning, allocation, optimisation and governance across media, activation, innovation, and promotions.
  • Ensure effective deployment of marketing investments to maximise ROI and conversion.
  • Monitor key performance indicators from digital platforms, CRM, PR, events and trade initiatives, translating insights into meaningful action plans.
  • Develop performance dashboards and post-campaign reviews to evaluate marketing plan effectiveness with key learnings, to ensure transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.  

Relationship and Team Management

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Corporate Travel, MICE, Wholesale, Business Insights, Finance, Supply Chain and Brand & Communication teams to ensure aligned direction and execution.
  • Act as a key business partner to Corporate Sales teams, supporting pipeline development, lead generation and client engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the Corporate Marketing team by setting clear Marketing objectives and fostering ownership and accountability.
  • Manage and optimise relationships with external agencies and vendors, including media, digital, creative, PR, supplier and event partners to ensure quality, timelines and cost efficiency.
  • Drive channel enablement initiatives by equipping sales and partner teams with toolkits, content and campaign assets to improve conversion and engagement.
  • Work closely with the executive teams to ensure the corporate marketing plan is represented consistently and professionally across internal communications, leadership presentations and company-wide platforms.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B corporate marketing
  • Experience in the travel industry is an added advantage
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive revenue growth through marketing strategies
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns in Malaysia
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven marketing
  • Proactive, self-starter with a high level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • A team-oriented mindset with willingness to engage in company events and initiatives

Related Experience
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing, including corporate client acquisition, agent engagement and channel enablement initiatives.
  • Strong ownership of corporate marketing budgets, with the ability to optimise spend, track performance and deliver ROI reporting.
  • Hands-on experience in digital and performance marketing, including SEM, paid media, social platforms, and corporate content strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation, collaborating with sales, product, finance, operations and external partners to drive shared objectives.
  • Solid background in project management and execution, delivering campaigns and initiatives on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Confidence in presenting to commercial and management stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, with the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic marketing experience with the ability to connect corporate direction, brand positioning and commercial objectives into actionable plans and clear cross-functional communication.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership with proven, hands-on experience in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives beyond tactical execution.
  • Experience in managing diverse stakeholders with professionalism, maturity and sound business judgment.
  • Prior marketing experience in the travel industry will be an added advantage.
