Executive – Finance (AR – Credit & Settlement)

Role
  • Executive – Finance (AR – Credit & Settlement) will be responsible for the timely settlement of payment and working closely with the respective teams to ensure collections and settlements are done accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for timely settlement of all payment methods.
  • Ensure all collections are done accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in Credit Card settlement and reconciliation.
  • Ensure all bank transfers and cash settlements are accurately recorded in the system.
  • Assist in Credit Card charges reconciliation and prepare journal for recognition.
  • Check and review the completeness and accuracy of new credit application/revision of credit application.
  • Ensure the Credit Facility application process is adhered to.
  • Prepare the AR Ageing credit limit report.
  • Check and review weekly Receivables Ageing Statements and conduct meeting with respective Department.
  • Ensure the debts from Customers Receivable are collected on time.
  • Send reminder on the late payment charges.
  • Ensure weekly/monthly meeting on collections and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Perform receivable reconciliation and to ensure the accuracy in the GL reporting.
  • Assist to resolve receivables discrepancies & irregularities.
  • Assist in preparing reports, analysis and presentation.
  • Assist in developing finance policies, implementing the credit processes and procedures, provide training to the operations team.
  • Ensure that due diligence has been done and all efforts taken to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
  • Handle the end-to-end operations of the Accounts Receivable & Credit Control team
  • Work together as a team player within the finance department and also with other departments.
  • Safeguard and not to disclose customer (personal and organization) details and our company’s confidential information.
  • Assist in Trade shows / Consumer shows, when necessary, i.e., MAS Travel fair, MATTA etc.
  • Any other duties at the discretion of the company.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Finance / Accountancy / Banking/Business Studies / Administration / Management
  • Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience.
  • Preferably Executive specializing in Accounting / Auditing or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills in English, Malay or Mandarin language for both spoken and written.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Possesses a growth mindset, demonstrating positivity and proactiveness.
