Job Role
  • The Vice President – Corporate Sales is accountable for the commercial performance and strategic growth of the corporate client portfolio under both the HTT and BCD brands with a strong focus on corporate travel, including Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). This role focuses on driving revenue, increasing profitability, and ensuring long-term client retention and satisfaction. The Vice President will develop and execute both short-term and long-term business strategies, expanding market share in the corporate travel and MICE segments, while maintaining strong partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and value.
Job Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key corporate clients, deeply understanding their business goals and travel needs.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, ensuring delivery of high-value travel solutions and service excellence.
    • Manage key stakeholder relationships, including BCD to ensure alignment and continuity.
  • Revenue & Profit Growth:
    • Develop and implement strategies to retain and grow revenue from existing client accounts.
    • Lead contract renewals, negotiations, and upsell opportunities to maximize account value.
    • Utilize market insights, client data, and performance analytics to uncover new growth opportunities within business travel and the MICE segment.
  • Client Retention & Satisfaction:
    • Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty by delivering consistent, high-quality service experiences.
    • Monitor client satisfaction metrics and proactively address risks or issues to drive long-term retention.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of account managers and MICE specialists.
    • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture, ensuring ongoing skills development and career growth.
  • Strategic Account Planning:
    • Develop comprehensive account plans aligned with both client goals and internal business objectives.
    • Identify areas for service innovation, program expansion and added value for clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Event Management teams to deliver integrated corporate travel and MICE solutions.
    • Collaborate with the client acquisition team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to account management upon client go-live.
  • Forecasting & Market Insight:
    • Provide accurate revenue forecasting and business reporting to senior leadership, segmented by travel and MICE streams.
    • Monitor market trends, client behaviour, and competitor activity, offering insights to inform business decisions.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within account management, sales, or customer success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • A track record for recruiting and developing staff in line with growth plans.
  • An excellent reputation of partnering with other services providers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to upholding company values.
Job Competencies

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the travel industry and destinations, including popular attractions, accommodations, transportation options, and travel trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively, actively listen to their needs, and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, financial software, and ERP systems (e.g., Sabre, Powersuite, online booking platforms).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple customer inquiries and travel bookings simultaneously.
  • Passionate about learning and possessing a growth mindset, demonstrating positivity and proactiveness.
